Nine University Course 2.0 is a course that teaches you how to set up your own Amazon FBA (fulfillment by amazon) business. The course is a 7-week program that goes over every aspect of creating an online FBA business. By the end of the 7 weeks, Nine University promises you’ll learn all the aspects needed to have a functional Amazon FBA business.
The course has 257 videos, ranging from their “bootcamp”, foundation, product selection, shipment, and launching. It also comes with a Facebook Ads “mini-course”. Overall, the course seems to have everything you need to start an Amazon FBA business.
The question is, does this course really live up to all the claims? Let’s find out in this complete Nine University review!
Who Are Kale And Taylor?
Kale Abrahamson and Taylor Hiott are the creators of the Nine University course. Kale Abrahamson got his start selling hoverboards at a local mall and online. From there, he acted as a business consultant before starting Nine University 2.0.
Taylor Hiott got his start working as an office assistant at his university, the University of North Carolina. After that, he worked for a good amount of time as an account executive for Lenovo. Other than that, there’s not much history of Taylor Hiott with Amazon FBA or business as a whole.
Keep in mind, all of this is self-written. While I’m not doubting Kale and Taylor, I am disclosing that none of their claims are verifiable.
Nine University Pricing
Nine University Course 2.0 costs $1,997, a steep price for most Amazon FBA courses. As of May 2020, financing is no longer an option.
It comes with the following bonuses:

It does come with a 10-day refund, provided that you:
- Watch Bootcamp videos from days 1-10
- Complete all assessment with a 90% or higher
- Check in with their Fast-Track coaches 7 times during the 10 day period
- Post their progress to the group 5 times during the 10 day period
They promise a full refund by email if you do all these steps. It’s very rigid compared to the typical 30-day money-back guarantee. If you do buy it, make sure you’re aware of this policy.
Nine University Modules
Nine University’s modules are split into 7 weeks, with each week covering a new topic. It also includes a 14-day “bootcamp” and a Facebook mini-module.
The 14-day bootcamp is an introduction to Amazon FBA and the business itself. They start by showing you a motivational video and talking about the course as a whole. Then they get into picking your brand name, vision, and mindset, using software, product metrics, finding suppliers, creating your logo, and more.
Week 1 – The Foundational Bedrock of FBA
This week is all about setting up your business. Compared to the bootcamp, it’s focused on technical tutorials rather than ideas. This week goes over creating your seller central account, setting up your business structure, getting an LLC, and getting an EIN. It also talks about the difference between selling in the US and in the UK, and briefly talks about taxes.
Week 2 – 7 Figure Product
This week focuses on picking the right product. The Nine University course starts out by showing you their software, Boost Nine. Then they get into using Helium10, picking your brand name (again), and tools to generate brand name ideas. Then, they get more into product research, talking about their 7/7 score, your ROI, search volume, restrictions, and more.
Week 3 – Crafting The Perfect Product With an Elite Supplier
For this week, you focus solely on sourcing your supplier. Once you find the perfect product, you have to negotiate with suppliers to source your product before you list it. For this part, Nine University shows you how to initially talk to them, decode replies, order samples, negotiate, place your order, and customize your product packaging.
Week 4 – Shipping to Amazon
Once you source your product, it’s time to ship it. This week goes over all the aspects of shipping: a general checklist, shipping types, inspection, freight forwarding, and how long it takes. This module is shorter compared to other weeks.
Week 5 – Creating A Listing That Sells on Autopilot
Despite the title, there’s no automation in this week, it’s only creating your product listing. For week 5, Nine University focuses on creating a listing that will convert customers into buyers. It goes over a listing checklist, improving listing quality, backend search terms, product description, and more. It also talks about using seller tools and honeybadgerboost.
Week 6 – Going From “A” Product to “The” Product
This week focuses on all the strategies and tips to boost sales for your product. They go over “clickbait”, photography, thumbnails, getting reviews, and utilizing Instagram and Facebook. It also discusses how to deal with negative reviews.
Week 7 – Elite PPC Launching + Robotic Growth
This is the final week, covering PPC advertisements. The Nine University course shows you the different type of PPC ads to use depending on how many reviews you have. They show you low budget auto campaigns, excel organization, seller tools, keyword research, PPC optimization, and automation software (Teikametrics). They do give some good information, but most of it will be them using different software.
Facebook Ads Mini Course
This mini course is a module dedicated towards utilizing Facebook ads properly. They get into using promo codes, creating a picture ad, free facebook groups, utilizng Facebook community, using a bot to get reviews, creating a click funnel, and some retargeting strategies. This course provides some good information, but there are some gaps. They never once get into split testing, for example.
Nine University Course Quality
Nine University has very good course quality. All of the course resources are professionally made, with their worksheets looking like something given out by a college. The materials give good anecdotal information about the content presented.
Kale and Taylor also present their information in a very professional manner. Both Kale Abrahamson and Taylor Hiott share enthusiasm for Nine University, demonstrating a good amount of effort taken in the production value.
However, and it has to be said, I’m not sure exactly what Taylor Hiatt brings to the course. The few times he teaches he’s just accompanying Kale Abrahamson. I would like to believe that while Kale does all the teaching, Taylor handles all the backend of Nine University as a business. But, given his background, I don’t think this is the case.
Does Nine University Deliver?
At its bare minimum, Kale and Taylor do deliver with Nine University. Nine University promises to teach you how to set up your own Amazon FBA business. In a literal sense, they do this. Using the information given in Nine University, you will have a fully functioning Amazon FBA online store. Maybe not a profitable one, but a functioning one nonetheless.
Additionally, they never promise guaranteed earnings. They constantly boast how much their members make on their sales copy and on their youtube channel. But if you’re expecting concrete results, as one would expect from a $2,000 course, Nine University responds by saying:
“If you’re not willing to accept that, this is not for you. Honestly, if you are reading this disclaimer and wondering whether this is a “scam” of some sort, you probably aren’t ready to be an entrepreneur. We have NEVER said that Amazon FBA doesn’t require work.”
Who Is Nine University Best For?
Nine University 2.0 is best for anyone who has no knowledge of Amazon FBA, and lots of money to spend. Nine University uses very expensive software and PPC systems that can add up to a substantial amount. But, if done right, can lead to solid returns.
Anyone on a budget or anyone that doesn’t have thousands of dollars to throw on an Amazon FBA venture will find this course extremely underwhelming. It lacks any unique insights or value for it to justify the price that it charges. Combined with a rigid refund system, Nine University isn’t a good option for many.
Is Nine University Worth $2,000?
There’s a lot to talk about with this, but for the short version, no. It’s not worth the money at all.
The course is littered with upsells. They urge you to set up your business by using “Prime Corporate Services”, which from the image, suggests that they have an affiliate deal with them. After some research, this service charges you over $1,000 to set up your business as an LLC, rather than using legal zoom for far less. The fact that Nine University contains upsells like this is insulting. After paying $2,000 for this course, you get non-stop upsells deceptively positioned to “help you”.
And it doesn’t stop here. Nine University uses an insane amount of software. The point of an Amazon FBA course is for you to learn how to do it yourself. If you subscribe to all the software systems that they use, you can easily look at a hundred or more per month.
On top of that, Nine University constantly pushes their coaching and consulting services, pushing you to schedule a “free call” where they apply sales pressure.
They constantly reinforce that if you don’t comply with Nine University, you’re not cut out to be an entrepreneur, or that you don’t have what it takes. This polarization allows them to position their coaching, consulting, and software “upsells” as part of what the “right” entrepreneur would do.
Now, Nine University didn’t invent this. Plenty of courses are guilty of doing this same thing. But Nine University does it so much it makes it feel like an MLM rather than a course you’re paying for.
On top of this, Nine University has had many controversies surrounding them, including:
- Paying Fiverr creators to produce their content
- Removing Trustpilot negative reviews
- Buying fake reviews on Trustpilot
- Falsely copyrighting critical YouTube videos (CoffeeZilla)
- Not giving refunds

Nine University shows you how to create an Amazon FBA business by stringing together expensive software, rather than learning yourself. While there are times they do present some valuable information, it’s in no way enough to justify the price it charges.

There are too many red flags associated with Nine University for it to be a safe option. Controversy aside, Kale and Taylor do not provide any unique information for this course to justify $2,000. You can easily learn the same information for significantly less. Nine University has a hard refund policy and is littered with upsells. While the content is good and has professional course quality, the information is not worth the price. You’re better off choosing any course other than this one.
