Wisdom Fuel was founded to help ambitious learners get the information they need to make smarter buying decisions. The team at Wisdom Fuel is comprised of lifelong learners. If you’re anything like the members of our team, you’re a course junkie. You always love to learn something new. Of course, you want to make sure you’re actually learning something worthwhile, which is exactly why we created this site.
Why We Created This Site
Every course comes with two main expenses.
First, there’s the obvious: the price tag. If you’re going to shell out your hard-earned cash for a course, you want to make sure it’s worth the money. There’s nothing more frustrating than being ripped off or buying a sub-par course that promised the world and fell short on the delivery. We’ve been there and it’s no fun. Our goal is to help thirsty knowledge seekers find the best courses that deliver the most value. Of course, the cost of the course is just one of the expenses.
The second expense is your time. Watching a bad course is like paying to see a bad movie. Not only did you waste your money on admission, but you also wasted time you can never get back. Getting caught up in a bad course can be a huge waste of time. Furthermore, signing up for an ineffective course can be misleading. Having access to the wrong information is even worse than having access to no information at all.
That’s where we come in.
Wisdom Fuel Methodology
Our team loves learning and we believe that a great course can have a positive impact on your life. Courses can be used to learn new skills, advance your career, or help you master a new hobby. We know the value of a good course and we take our jobs seriously.
All of our reviews dive deep into the course material and provide you with the information you need to decide whether or not the course is right for you. Our goal with every review is to answer the question, “should I buy this course?”
We evaluate every course using a variety of criteria. Here are just a few of the questions we consider during our review process.
Is the educator reputable?
The online education space often gets a bad rap. Many “gurus” have recognized that there is more money in teaching than there is in doing. Accordingly, many course creators are not credible, and we do our research to weed out these scams.
How is the quality of the course?
We expect the courses we review to adhere to a certain level of quality. Courses should be well-organized, well-planned, and well-produced. If you wanted low budget videos, you could go on YouTube or sign up for free webinars. We expect premium courses to maintain high production value and comprehensive curriculums.
Does the course provide quality education?
Of course, one of the most important considerations when evaluating a course is the course content itself. If you’re paying for information, it better be information worth paying for. We evaluate the quality of education using a few criteria. First, we want to make sure the information is accurate. Second, we want to make sure it is somewhat unique. You don’t want to pay for a course that just rehashes information you can find on the internet for free. Lastly, we assess courses for their comprehensiveness. We expect course providers to provide thorough explanations of the topics that students expect to learn about.
Does the course deliver on what it promises?
Students who enroll in courses don’t always have the proper expectations. Often times, students are more focused on the outcomes than they are the actual course material. For example, a student of an investing course may expect to generate wealth from the stock market when, in reality, education doesn’t guarantee a specific outcome. There’s a difference between theory and practice, and ultimately, it’s up to each individual to achieve their desired outcome. That said, we expect educators to properly align expectations. If a course promises to teach, we judge the course on the educational content. If the course promotes a specific outcome (i.e. double your profits!), we hold the course creator accountable for their claims.
