Before I even consider buying a course, I like to know who created it. The market is flooded with marketers who make more money selling education than they do from actually marketing. So, who exactly is Matt Diggity and should you listen to him?
Matt Diggity is an online marketer that specializes in search engine optimization. Like many of the most effective search engine marketers, Diggity found his start in affiliate marketing. He was able to learn and test SEO strategies by building niche/authority sites that were monetized with affiliate offers.
Over time, Diggity expanded his business and he is now well-known for a few businesses.:

- Authority Builders – A guest post marketplace

Of course, Matt Diggity also sells his course, Affiliate Lab (which we’ll get to shortly).
To answer the question posed earlier, Matt Diggity is absolutely legit. I’ve been in the world of digital marketing for almost a decade, and I just learned about Matt Diggity in the past year. I wish I would have discovered him earlier.
I was referred to Matt Diggity’s blog by a friend and I instantly became consumed. I found myself combing through article after article, as there was so much great information. Matt’s content is actionable and unique (both of which seem to be a rarity in the world of digital marketing).
That said, just because someone’s free information is good doesn’t mean their paid products are worth it. This leads to the topic of today’s review – Affiliate Lab. Is Affiliate Lab worth paying for?
Keep reading this Affiliate Lab review to find out. I’m going to explain exactly what you should expect from the course before giving my verdict on whether or not it’s worth the money.

For the purpose of this review, we will focus primarily on the Affiliate Lab course, as that is the main selling point (although the additional courses are a nice bonus).
Affiliate Lab Curriculum
The Affiliate Lab course is organized in a linear fashion. The course is designed to take students through the process of creating a niche site from start to finish.
The course features a few modules that focus on a broad topic, with specific videos that explain different tactics and strategies. The main modules include:
- Niche Selection
- Onsite SEO
- Offsite SEO
- The Kitchen Sink
- Authority Sites
The flow is sensible, making it easy for beginners to follow along. You can also choose to hop around if you’re an experienced marketer, although I would recommend watching the entire course.
Let’s take a closer look at the modules.
Module 1: Introduction
The first module explains how to make the most of the course and introduces the viewer to Diggity’s general methodology. This section offers a good “high level” explanation of the affiliate marketing (niche site) business model.
Module 2: Niche Selection
Module 2 is focused entirely on niche selection. Diggity covers just about everything you could think of with regards to niche selection. This section discusses:
- The importance of niche selection
- Niche sites vs. authority sites
- Choosing an appropriate niche
- Avoiding bad niches
Do not underestimate the importance of this section. While, theoretically, you can find success in any niche, your choice of niche will have a big impact on your early results. If you choose a niche that’s too difficult, you may not see results (even if you are doing everything right). If you choose a niche that is difficult to monetize, you may generate a lot of traffic but not a lot of profit.
Take the time to review this module and take even more time to choose a great niche.
Module 3: Onsite SEO
Module 3 is where the course starts getting dense and actionable. There are a TON of lessons in this module. I’m not kidding. There are over 50 video lessons, all of which are actionable and insightful.
The main theme is onsite SEO, which covers everything from planning content to building a site. Some of the main lessons include:
- Choosing a Domain and Hosting
- Keyword Research
- Choosing the Right Site Structure
- Writing Content That Ranks
- Optimizing Your Site for Search Engines
- And more!
This is the module when you really begin to realize how far ahead Matt Diggity is when compared to other marketers in the space. I’ve been through dozens of courses related to SEO and affiliate marketing, and none of them have been this comprehensive. Diggity holds nothing back.
Furthermore, as someone who has actually been through the process of building niche sites successfully, I can assure you there is no “fluff.” If you think I’m just hyping up the product, go ahead and read some of our other reviews (most of which are not this positive).
Module 3 serves as an “all-in-one” onsite SEO guide that you will likely watch multiple times over.
Module 4: Offsite SEO
Offsite SEO is a controversial topic in the world of online marketing. Some courses (like Project 24) don’t make any offsite recommendations. They operate under the methodology that “content is king” and “if you build it, they will come.”
I’ve personally been doing SEO for over 10 years and I wouldn’t even think of launching a site without an offsite SEO plan. While it is possible to rank with content alone, it’s much more difficult (and not even viable in certain niches).
Offsite SEO is the process of building links to your site. These links serve as “votes” that tell Google your site is worth visiting. There are hundreds of different ways to build links, none of which are equal.
This is where a lot of new affiliate marketers go wrong. They either avoid link building altogether or they build links improperly, both of which lead to lower traffic.
Within the world of link-building, there are two main approaches: white hat and black hat. White hat link building is a more passive approach to link-building that generally involves coming up with ways to attract “natural” links. Black hat link-building is the process of building your own links (i.e. “gaming” the process). Black hat link building should not be confused with unethical marketing. It is simply a way of trying to “game” the rankings (which is basically what every search engine marketer is already trying to do).
Personally, I’ve never understood white hat link building, but I also understand why black hat gets a bad rap.
I would describe Matt Diggity’s approach to link building as gray hat (similar to Brian Dean of Backlinko or Matthew Woodward). This section of the courses lays outs a long-term link building plan.

Module 5: The Kitchen Sink
Module 5, The Kitchen Sink, is basically a troubleshooting and optimization guide. It addresses some of the issues you may face as you get deeper into the process of building your niche site (or authority site).
Matt Diggity discusses some of the issues related to getting “stuck” or not seeing the results you want. He also explains how you can further audit and optimize your site.
While I recommend watching this module as you go through the course, you will probably get more value out of it after you’ve already started building your site.
Module 6: The Authority Site Module
In Module 6, Diggity starts talking about authority sites. While the first five modules are geared towards creating niche sites, this final module introduces the concept of an authority site.
The process for building a niche site and an authority site is very similar. Assuming you don’t choose a niche that’s too broad, an authority site is simply an evolved niche site.
Think of the differentiation with a hypothetical example. You launch a site focused on the best camera lenses and you call it CameraGearBoss.com. You write 100 articles on camera lenses and the site takes off. Naturally, you want to ride the momentum and continue to expand the site. You begin to cover topics like camera accessories, editing software, and so on. This process represents the evolution from niche site to authority site.
While this may seem like a problem for “future you”, it’s actually an important consideration from the get-go. If you choose too narrow of a niche, you won’t be able to create an authority site and you will limit your potential.
In this module, Matt Diggity discusses a lot of lessons related to building authority sites. Some of the highlights include:

This is a very important lesson for anyone who makes it past the “niche site” stage. At one point, you’ll want to scale from a 100-article site to a 1000-article site and so on. Diggity provides the lessons you need to plan accordingly.
This is where the course wraps up. There are a few additional videos, but after Module 6, you should be ready to take action.
Now that we’ve covered all of the content of the course, we’re going to discuss the quality and make a final verdict.
How is the Course Quality?
Many great courses are sabotaged by poor quality production. I can’t count the number of great webinars, videos, or courses that are under-utilized because of poor audio, poor slide quality, or some other issue.
I’m happy to report that The Affiliate Lab is well-produced. The audio quality is clear and well-recorded, and it’s apparent that the course was well-planned and structured.
Diggity uses a combination of pre-made slides and screenshare guides to offer a top-quality learning experience.
Does Affiliate Lab Deliver?
Whenever we review a course, we like to determine whether or not the course delivers on what was promised in the sales page. A great course may be docked for overstating its benefits. For example, if a course promises to “make you millions,” it doesn’t matter how good the content is because the promise is unrealistic.
Affiliate Lab definitely delivers on what is promised. The sales page doesn’t make any unrealistic claims, and the course is packed with tons of actionable information. One of the headlines that stands out on the sales page is:
“The Only Course You Will Ever Need To Rank, Earn And Flip Websites”
While that is a bold claim, I’d have to agree with it. This (along with Authority Site System) is one of the best affiliate SEO courses I’ve seen.
Of course, your success is still in your own hands. A great course doesn’t guarantee that you will start creating profitable websites over night. That said, Affiliate Lab gives you all of the tools you need to get an edge in the world of affiliate SEO.
Who is Affiliate Lab Best For?
There is no such thing as a “one-size-fits-all” course. Everyone has their own unique learning style, personal strengths, and financial limitations.

Affiliate Lab is great for anyone who is ready to invest time into building a niche/authority site business. Here are my specific recommendations based on your current expertise level:
If you are completely new to affiliate SEO, do some research first. Make sure you are ready to commit to the game. Read some free blog posts and watch some YouTube videos. IF you decide that you are ready to commit to building a niche site, I highly recommend checking out The Affiliate Lab. This course will help you start building your niche site empire the right way.
If you have some experience with affiliate SEO, you should definitely check out this course. Maybe you’ve been researching affiliate SEO, maybe you’ve been building your first site, or maybe you’ve already made a few bucks. This course will help you take your current efforts to the next level.
If you are an experienced affiliate, you can still benefit from this course. I’ve watched dozens of courses and built dozens of niche sites and I still learned new things. There will be some repeat information but if you can justify the $997 expense, I think you will find that it’s worth it.
This leads to our last point.
Is Affiliate Lab Worth the Money?
$997 is not cheap – I won’t sugarcoat that.
I will, however, bring up the point that “cost” and “value” are not the same thing. If you spend $97 for useless information and $997 for life-changing information, the $97 was expensive and the $997 was cheap.
So, does this course offer $997 in value?
Personally, I believe it does BUT you need to consider your financial situation.
If you are going to purchase this course, make sure you have enough money left over for:
- A domain name
- Graphics (i.e. logo)
- Link building (i.e. PBN Links, and social signals)
- Miscellaneous expenses that may come up
You should never spend your entire budget on a course BUT if you have $2,000+ to commit to your affiliate business, this course is absolutely worth it. Could you learn on your own for cheaper? Maybe…but it will take longer and you will make more mistakes along the way (some of which may be costly).
Never underestimate the value of a good course. Affiliate Lab can help you avoid time-consuming (and costly) mistakes and ensure you start your journey on the right path.
Final Verdict: Affiliate Lab Review
it’s rare that I feel confident offering such a high recommendation of a course, but Affiliate Lab is the real deal. If you are are looking for an all-in-one affiliate SEO and niche site course, and you have $997 to spend, Affiliate Lab is your best bet. The course is incredibly comprehensive, the content is actionable, and Matt Diggity seems like one of the more genuine online marketers.
